In the US I'd say the 1920s. The 1910s saw World War I, the 30s had the Great Depression, 40s had WWII, and since then there have been wars and other skirmishes/problems. Prior to 1910 I'm not sure, it wasn't really turbulent. But the 20s were a time of prosperity following WWI. As far as wars/battles go, there weren't any in the US at the time, but there was poverty, just not as much of it as at other times in American history. Of course the stock market fell in October of 1929, but that was at the end of decade.

I would say 1900-1910 after the Spanish american War and before World War I. Peaceful is a word that can be defined in so many ways. Peaceful for who? now that is the true question

Peaceful for who? The U.S., Europe, Asia? In the last century there has been near constant warfare somewhere in the world... so I would say no decade has been the most peaceful...

there has never been a decade without war in the history of humanity. which really says a lot about humans. maybe if you go back to the prehistoric age... but even then tribes fought... even further, back when man was monkey... maybe then...

for the US probably the 90's untill 9/11
however there has been discord around the globe
for a long long time
