You take it one step at a time.

There are two sides to this - there's the immediate, practical side and the 'goals and aspirations' side. If you haven't attended to your immediate needs yet, that has to come first.

Find yourself a place to live, if you haven't already got somewhere. It might be a good idea to look for share accommodation to begin with (i.e. move in with another single woman). That means you get some company if you need it, and also you can re-learn skills from her, like dating and dress sense.

Sort out the finances - get a job, any job, if you need to. Don't be too proud to take something basic.

Now for the fun stuff. Sit down with a piece of paper and write down all the things you'd like to do, but haven't been able to. Next, think back to when you were young. What were some of your dreams then? Write those down, too.

Now your task is to go through your list and do all the things on it! Not all at once, but gradually. This will give your life direction, until you get comfortable with being on your own (or find somebody new!).

Some of your dreams may be unrealistic. For instance, maybe you wanted to be a pilot. Too late for that, but you could book a joy flight on an aerobatic plane, or have glider lessons. Maybe you wanted to be a ballerina. Again, too late, but try ballroom or latin dancing instead.

Otherwise, there are 60 year olds that can outrun 20 year olds because they train so well. Your brain is still very functional unless you have a disease. One person your age decided to start training to be a doctor and made it. People your age have been in space. Lately, the dating scene for middle ages have been soaringI see no limit in my mind.

well first you become comfortable with your age. then you start looking foward to the best times inyour life (ex. no more periods, no more babies, gray hairs , being able to say i'm tired and mean it, more focus on what you want to be doing at 60. my sister loves it.

Get out with friends or co-workers so you can meet other people. If you want to meet a companion, you have to be out and be seen.
