what are the steps taken in a civil court precedding? chronologically?

all i have is, pleadings, complaint, summons, and answer. Is this right?

1.File the complaint,
2.The dependant will answer and include a counterclaim,
3.Complainant files a reply to the answer of dependent,
4.Summons will be served for trial,
5.The complainant presents the evidence first,
6.The dependant presents the evidence after the complainant,
7.Court will decide on the case.

chronologically? is that something to do with chronic?
