plz give me step by step instructions to format my pc and reinstall windows

Make sure the BIOS is set to boot from the CD (put the CD above the HD in the boot order)
Insert the XP CD and boot to it
When you see " To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER", go ahead and press ENTER
You will now see an option to repair Windows by pressing "R". Do not select this option - it will only take you to the Recovery Console which is not what we want to do. Instead, choose to continue the installation
When you see the license agreement, press F8 to agree
On the next screen make sure your current XP installation is selected and then press enter. Afterthat follow the steps.

If you have the Windows CD. Load the CD in the drive and reboot the machine. It will take you through step by step process.

when the computer boots up, go to BIOS settings by pressing F2 or Del key. Go to BIOS features setup or boot sequence menu and change the First boot device to CD-ROM. Then Save the settings and exit BIOS. Computer will restart.
Put the bootable winxp CD in to the ROM .
Then follow the instructions clearly and it won't be a hard task

I don't know for sure, but this is what I had to do. I had to get my
98 windows disk, and put it in there, and it will tell you what to do
which is pretty much yes and no questions. But it was real easy
But this CP is older, newer versions like XP or whatever, I don't
have a clue. That's all I know.

When u find out let me know,but I think ur gonna need the installation cd and to backup all important info, 4 that I recomend purchasing an external hardrive treat it like u would ur regular harddrive xcept this one is gonna be usb plug and play. Thats bout as much as I know

xp i presume?..do you have a xp install cd?.do you have your hard drive software cd ?.heres a link on how to format and reload windows..
