I agree with those who say life is an opportunity to explore, to learn, to enjoy, to appreciate - ..."maybe uv forgotten to laugh, dance and sing.... always look on the bright side...."

Hi RoseL - sorry to hear about ur misfortune
I also nearly lost my life to an angry neighbour - I too thought I was a nice, easygoing person, but I offended him by being truthful
I still think that life is something to be grateful for but I am more careful what I say
Good luck in future

life sure is a beautiful gift ( its a beautiful book with as many papers as the breath u take in a life time)... and it can be seen in many ways... each event that happens in life may seem wonderful or horrible .. wat makes the differnce is the way u wanna take it ...
lets say u are hanging at the edge of a cliff and u some how manage to climb back up... you can either curse on and on abt y god had to get you hang on the cliff or you can thank god for the "second chance" .. either ways wat matters after that is how u make use of your life hence forth. you may do wat the world wants u to do. or u may do wat ur heart wants u to do...
you may/ may not want to learn from your past (good or bad) its up to u as an individual...
to me like i said.. life is a beautiful gift .. a book u bring when u r born , u write ur experience as chapters and when time comes to leave ,u start to read through those chapters jus to make sure what u think u deserve when u meet St Peter at the pearly gates.
Life completely Rocks man...

Is life a gift, well if it is it didn't come wrapped with a bow. I've for some reason been given a second chance at it. So the first time I did something wrong or did forget something. Since I was almost killed, on purpose, and I was a nice person, loved everyone treated everyone with respect and seen where that got me. I know sure how to play this one. This life starts off way diffrent, I don't have a mom or dad, I don't even have my kids anymore they left, my husband is away so I am alone, no home just me. I sleep on a friends couch, no bed, no phone, no just me.
I got my sword at my side, the Bible, to direct me, this time. I pray a home comes up soon, and my children will return. They left for fear of being hurt too. I haven't seen my 19 now 20 year old since before I went into the hospital. I have heard he is fine, but he is my baby, the youngest of 5 and we were close and I can't believe he wouldn't want to see his mom.
Well as far as life being a gift, like I said, if it is, it didn't come wrapped in pretty paper with a bow....

It certainly would do little harm to view life as a gift.
The problem creeps in when we take it further and begin to assume that its a gift from.
Life is.
And we are an integral part of it.
Indivisible.
Our mind through self awareness does not see or feel this truly.
This gives rise to the thought of me and life as being something separate, distinct.
Life then may be seen as a gift to Me.
The Me being what the mind calls itself.
Then the muddle starts, we mistake our life circumstances for life itself.
One could view immediate life circumstances as 'jolly rotten'.
It does not help to judge it, but we do.
But you can never say that life is rotten, your mind knows so little about it.
And worse has built a world where me and life appears separate.
If life is not the ultimate, then what is?

Life is an inheritance and an instinctive urge provided by nature to propogate her kind
We are all created equal, but some minds work with evil and sometimes in the name of God or become corrupted by money or power (politics) or many other factors
Life is a gift that has to be shared and can bring pleasure to others, it should be celebrated in parties and happiness as well as in helping others and improving the environment
We have our bad times too but then again many are in worse states and need caring for, so it becomes a multi-facetd gift as long as we share and don't become selfish and greedy

Life is no gift, nor anything paid for.
I believe life is a payment for its being.
Existence of a life begins and is sustained with contracting debts to be paid for - from the parents, from the society and most importantly from the nature and environment. Even if you are a non-believer, you have got a lot to pay for.
And if you are a believer, I don't have to tell you, you yourself know well enough how much you owe to your God.
Life is indeed a payment and we need to make sure we do not use fake currency or stale cheques to pay with.

Unfortunately if you look around you'll see that life isn't a gift , you can be happy to a degree but above all you're created depending on the need for workers.

Your life is "The gift" your daddy put in your mommy.
You are the "gift", when your mommy popped you out and presented to your dad. Thats life. A gift between those 2 responsible and you are but a "gift", until you create your own "gift".
Of course, some times, people do turn down gifts, or regret creating a gift.

life is not a gift in the sense that gifts are only given to people who deserve it, or like during occasions and what's the occasion other than it's your birthday? but you're just a teeny kid and what do you know about what to do with such a huge gift? you don't even know how to walk or say your butt's itching!
so there you go
