That seems like a healthy weight, but if you are concerned, I would get your body fat measured. This will tell you how much fat vs. lean mass you have on your frame. If the body fat is getting over 25% you may want to consider starting an exercise routine including weight bearing exercises. If is very important as women age that we do more weight bearing exercises to keep our bone density up. Additionally, it is possible to be a size two or four and still be fat and jiggly. Cardio is great but only weight lifting is going to get you firm. :-) Regardless, be confident in who you are, and it is more important to be healthy that see a particilar number on the scale.

No, you are not considered to be overweight. You can check whether or not you are overweight or underweight by looking at a BMI = Body Mass Index (you can easily find one online - here is a web site - http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/). At 5'5 and 132 lbs. you are considered an average weight. It is not healthy to be underweight or overweight, so if you are dieting or working out regularly it is always important to maintain a healthy weight.

Overweight people are more likely to have high blood pressure, developing heart disease, and having strokes than people who are not overweight. Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death and disability for both men and women in the United States. Other major risks are peripheral vascular disease, and diabetes.

Being underweight is also very dangerous. People who are underweight have a higher risk of developing osteoporosis, they usually have a decreased immune system (get sick easily and stay sick longer), period cessation or irregularities, and can become Infertile. Health risks associated with eating disorders include heart disease, nerve damage, hormonal changes, and digestive problems.

Not at all! I am only a little taller than you, and my goal weight of ten pounds higher than that is far from overweight. If you're concerned, just make sure to eat right, get enough sleep, and exercize 30 minutes a day at least 3 days a week, and you should be fine!

I think ideal weight for that age is like 120-130 pounds. But it really depends on your build. Your not overweight by any means though.

The BMI is a start to answer that question. Generally speaking, the BMI would say that your'e doing okay.

Then again, the BMI doesn't say anything about your body build. Are those pounds mostly muscle? or are you a couch potato, with those pounds gathering in undesirable areas?

That makes you 132 lbs. If you are comfortable at that weight, no you are not overweight.

Your weight is perfectly normal. It is tragedy that many young women become far too thin and become unhealthy.
Take care of yourself and have a bright future.
