First off, thank you for the link. Interesting story.
For years the Democrats have been berated for "allowing" the Radical Left take over the party in the late 60s, early 70s. It seems that the GOP has some of the same problems. What I find so interesting is how a Gay Man can be supported by the Conservative Christian factions of Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson while they all (Religious Right and GOP Closet Gays) berate the Democrats for being so liberal. If we conclude that it is just politics, then the Religious Community needs to come to grips that the GOP is not God's Only Party, and that it is a power game that they have been suckered into. Just my opinion.
