I don't know if you can be the perfect one, but you can come close by making sure you perform the lion's share of the household chores. I also think dressing nice and wearing an apron doesn't hurt :-)

Here are the chores I would expect a housewife to do:
This is what I expect:
-Cooking (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks)
-Meal Planning
-Laundry
-Ironing
-Washing Dishes
-Dusting
-Polish Furniture
-Mopping
-Vacuuming
-Child Care
-Clean Kitchen
-Clean Bedrooms
-Polish Silverware
-Clean Oven
-Clean Windows
-Grocery Shopping
-Going to the Dry Cleaners
-Conceirge for Husband
-Take out garbage
-Defrost the Refrigerator
-Interior Decorating
-Polish Husband's Shoes

There is no perfect housewife. But you can be a really good one if you do the following:
Love him, clean the house, take care of kids, don't cheat on him, have some really good friends to talk to, and if he wants a house that is soooooo clean that you could eat straight from the floor then he doesn't want a wife he wants a maid.

Hmmmm... Try to find the perfect man. Have perfect kids, all the money you could ever need and the perfect maid... No seriously, no person is perfect. Just be the best housewife you can be.
:o)

Leave home. Take a vacation by yourself. Go on a road trip. Let your spouse enjoy the time you are gone. It will be a blessing. The "perfect" housewife finds her own path and lets her spouse find his. Then they have something to talk about, and great sex when there are "spaces in your togetherness".

You can't be the perfect housewife, you can't be the perfect anything in fact-no one,and nothing is perfect. You can be the best you can be though, that's all that is important-to strive to be the best we can be,to do the best we can do.

Their is no such thing as a perfect house wife!!! But do the things around the house because you want to, not because you have too. I have been a house wife already for 13 years and counting and I do pretty much everything around the house. But my husband still helps me in what he can, when he gets off work. For us it has worked great because we work together as a team.

Debunk the cocept of ultimate perfection.
Debunk the concept of wonder woman, "be all, do all".
Just make best of what you are, what you do at home or anywhere else and
don't forget to treat and pamper yourself.
I guess it is more appropriate to ask
"How can I be a better homemaker?"
