I am trying to find out if there is some sort of artificial scent or spray that makes horses want to mate. I'm trying to make my horses mate, but im not sure if this is true.

Yes, they're called pheromones and they're naturally occurring. Why are you breeding? Make sure you're breeding for the right reasons...there are many unwanted horses out there, just like all the shelter dogs and cats.

Field breeding can be dangerous for both the mare and the stallion so make sure you get help from someone who knows what they're doing (preferrably your vet). The stallion will not breed with the mare until she comes into season, then she will produce her own pheromones.

Firstly your mare has to be in season, and she will produce the scent (pheremones). And then you need a stallion.
Why are you trying to get your horses to mate?

Your mare must be in season and ready to mate or nothing is going to happen.
Mares only cycle in the spring summer and not very far into fall.
Most likley the breeding season is over for the year and you are going to have to wait until spring.
