I agree that it much easier to concentrate on school when you don't have to work...juggling work and school is not very fun or easy unless you want to average 4-5 hours of sleep a night!!

It's quite true. The first year is a critical year for students. Students in that year must start concentrating on studies, and take this opportunity to increase gpa or ace that grades. Because, when you've completed that year, you'll find that the studies will be harder and more difficult to ace them. So, try not to work in the meantime.

Yes they were. During the first year it's better to concentrate on your studies and get yourself accustomed to student life. I started working in my third year.

That is how discpline you are. Freshman year is very important and you are learning on your own how to deal with being independent. My biggest advice is to have a time management plan.

those people who told you this are most likely back at home with mommy going to to local community college. STUDY FOR FIRST YEAR!!!
