Most rocky asteroids have moisture locked up in them.
as well as comets
although the earth did form from the nebulus cloud surrounding the sun it was smaller than it is today. it was also bombarded by asteroids and comets, all bearing water and rock which added to the size of the earth
when the earth cooled enough, the water vapor in the atmosphere condensed and began to fall as rain over a period of millions of years the rain fall caused the earth to cool even faster until the rain stayed on the ground and began to fill up the lowest places on earth.
even then the earth was still bombarded by meteorites until we have the oceans we have today.

"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1: 6-10).

Quite a lot of water could have come from comets that bombarded the earth during its formation. Comets are basically big chunks of ice.
