I know the type of business just wasnt sure where to start

Well it kind of depends on what kind of business you are looking to start. Do you know what you want to start? Here are some simple steps to get you started.

there's alot of means / methods/measures one could proprietize a particular proprietorship...ahem...seriously you can start a business at a flea market...find a wholesaler...easy as pie...you can build computers and sell them on the net...whatever you do...try to make it from something you enjoy...I used to like cool Walkmans an stuff...so i sold them at the flea market...i did well...unfortunately my wholesaler moved and i haven't been able to get back in touch w/ them ...search the net...do word searches...talk to friends and family you think might help...even co-workers...try to gain info wherever you can...books, businesses you walk into...keep yer head up...i think everyone is or should be given a fair chance in life...gl..
