First of all , I hope he wasn't your starting QB. If he was , Your in trouble in that position no matter what. Assuming that is your case, Better trade to get a QB. It's not difficult to get QB's in a trade since most of the team should have a decent backup.(Like me, I have Mcnabb and vick) decent offer will get vick out my hand. Assuming that is your backup Qb, Don't pick up a QB until your bye. Look at the matchups in your bye and get up a QB against a team with a weak pass D.

I think I will rank these options. I'd send Culpepper down the road for sure. I would pick them up in this order Smith, Johnson, Kitna, Frye, and then Losman. Smith has a couple of good receiving options and a solid running back in Gore. Although Johnson doesn't have quite the receiving threat as Smith he does protect the ball well. Fyre and Kitna are just entirely too streaky and on really bad teams. I'd only start them if the week your going to use them, they play against a bottom dweller. Losman has great potential but he just hasn't put any yards on the board, not to mention 80% of the touches goto Willis. Good Luck

Take Frye. He's been the most consistent. Kitna has been doing well but he doesnt always deliver TDS. Alex Smith is also someone to take a look at. He has two decent receivers, two decent tight ends, a decent line and a good running back in frank gore. The San Francisco defense also isnt all the great so you can bet on the fact that they will be throwing the ball alot.

Kitna this week- but take a good look at Brad Johnson's schedule after the bye, it's pretty passer friendly.

Alex Smith. He just had a huge week! He's sure to have a few more. He's definitely an upgrade over Culpepper.
