I did a scan and found I had a virus: Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\2Z8R0DWP\index[4].htm nfected: Exploit.JS.ADODB.Stream. and Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.awf. I deleted all the files my scan found but I still can't change my homepage from IE setting and I could not access the Task Manager and when I figured out how to do that I saw a some process that I havent be for. Svchost32.exe and Spoolsv. Scvhost32 was a virus after i did another scan, but Spoolsv.exe it clean, but from what I have gathered it should be in the System/32 folder and nowhere else. I have it there AND in WINDOWS\SercicePackFIles AND WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download 2 different files of the same size. HELP?!!?

It's worth getting an expert to check your computer out at:

http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0

Register, go to the Hijack This Forum, read the instructions on how to post a log, give a brief description of your problem (like you've just typed) and post your log there. The guys in there are fantastic and trustworthy and will guide you through in getting rid of anything nasty from your computer. Good luck!

the trojan downloader is just downloading files from internet. depending on what virus name you get, your anti-virus should get rid of it with the lastest definition. run the anti-virus in windows safe-mode. some virus such as "krepper" they change the startpage to wineto.com or something and add icons to favourites. if all fails then you'll have to just re-install.

Do you have Anti-Virus and Ant-Spyware programs? If you do, RUN THEM! If not, go here and run the online scan and removal.
