"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day." (Genesis 1:11-13).

This happened about 6,000 years ago. However, I've heard the oldest tree has about 4,000 years old. When the great flood happened, everything was destroyed, including trees. So the earth had to be refilled again. Trees started to grow again once the earth got dry. The great flood happened about 2,000 years after the earth was created. No wonder why the oldest trees are 4,000 years old!

If you mean land plants , then about 425 million years ago ,specimens have been found from the mid Silurian of Ireland (Cooksonia). Land plants developed from green algae living in the sea, from much earlier times. i.e. Pre-Cambrian.

By the way, corals are animals, not plants.

The oldest living tree on earth is 10,000 years old and the oldest coral reef is 9,000 years old. I don't know when though.
