Creative and introspective people awaken during dreams because they are paying attention and the vividness of the dream mimics reality. ( No obvious weird things going on.) You wake just enough to engage your conscious mind. So, for a time, you are consciously processing the dream or some part of it.
To this day, I remember dreams that were so real that I had to ask others, when they were in the dream, " Did that happen?"
If there is no one to corroborate the experience, then I have to use other criteria to classify it.
There are times when your wishes are granted in dreams. None of us get enough of that in our waking life. If you can keep a notebook handy and mull the dream over for awhile before you transcribe it, you will be able to examine the whole thing for insights. Leave a line open between each line you write on. You can add details that you didn't get the first time.
You are normal. Use your dreams to bring some good into your life. Sweet Deams!

perhaps becuz your dreams are more appeasing your your senses then your reality is. Your sub conscience would much rather deal with the dream than the reality. You may also be feeling depressed but without knowing your story I can't be sure. Either way, you would much rather be in your dream then your reality. Welcome to life. :D

All the best.

compared to male , female are more likely to have such
dreams.

it does not matter which one is dream or reality.
in total you also have one portion as dream and
the other as real.
