Definitely. It has better handling and more power than the Civic Si AND other Subaru models.

1) The impreza kicks ***, PERIOD. The Si is front wheel drive and has an economy engine with the fuel saving i-vtec (i think, i forget, i havent looked at cars in a LONG time). The Impreza is an all-wheel drive beast powered by the very muscular and testosterone inducing boxer 4. Listen to each one rev up and you will notice which one is made for the man.
2. The ultimate subaru in terms of performance is the Impreza WRX STI Spec C, made and sold in Japan only. The US STI is basically the same thing except for a normal scroll instead of a twin-scroll turbo, the addition of the AC, and the thickened windows (to meet crash rating standards in the US).

WRX? Yes. But nothing beats the SI for reliability and economy, all of the turbocharged Subaru's get 19-24MPG. By far the best Subaru is the WRX STI, but I'd rather own a Legacy GT. Leather option and much more luxurious with almost all the performance. Add a Cobb AccessPort and upgrade the brakes and suspension and nothing will touch it.

Impreza hands down. dollar for dollar the Impreza stock and modified will beat the Civis SI. Stock STi runs 13.8 in the 1/4 and with a couple hundred dollars you can have it in the low 13's high 12's. Turbos are easy to get to go fast.

I agree with yomomma69, The Subaru Impreza WRXTI is the way to go, if you have the bank for it. The Subaru would straight up whoop a honda's *** anyday.

Well if ur talkin bout either the WRX or STi then yes...if ur talkin the base model...then who cares..lol
but ya the WRX or STi are in a completely different league the basically every honda

if you're talking about the WRX and STI edition then yes. If you are talking about the Impreza RS then no, the SI will beat that one.

however my friend had one and he had prob. with the transmission and the brakes..had to get those replaced
