This is likely caused by eating too much acidic food such as citrus fruit. It will go away if you eat a bland diet for several days.

I always get canker sores in my mouth and gargling baking soda and water helps clear them up.
They might not be canker sores though. Did you recently eat something extremely hot? Last week i was starving and I scarfed sown a slice of pizza. While it did not bother me that very moment, I woke up with a couple of bubbles on the tip of my tongue. I had burned myself and I had to wait the pain out.
If you have a canker sore, I have yet to learn of a treatment that prevents them. If it's a burn, don't eat scorching hot foods.
I hope you feel better!

I call these my "ingrown tastebuds". I hate em. They're caused by something acidic...like fruit or some other food with high acid content. You can't really make them go away--but, don't aggravate them by picking at them. They'll usually go away in a couple of days!

Because you told a lie, is what I've always heard. When I get them, I just pinch it off or pull it off w/ tweezers. Yes it will hurt and it will bleed, but no worse than when you bite your tongue. Good luck and stop telling fibs. LOL

I notice I get these when I've had too much citric acid in my diet..be it, pop or lemonade. I've tried the salt/water thing...didn't help me but staying away from the acid for a few days did. good luck.
