My best friend (girl) is in love with me, I don't have those kinda feelings thowards her but I do love her as my friend a lot and we are best friends, is it ok to have a relationship like this? or should I try to get distance to prevent from breaking up her heart if I do eventually get a girlfriend... Should i just let it be?? I don't want to hurt her feelings and I don't want to lose her friendship, she seems to have the kinda love for me that wouldn't care If I get a girlfriend as long as she sees me happy with that person, and she doesn't mind not fulfilling her wishes of being with me, but I'm scared that could have long term consequences...

Your friend probably loves you and believes she could be in love with you, but it really takes two to make something like that work out, and it has to be mutual. She's fantasizing about how she thinks it could be if you and she were together that way. If you've made it clear to her and she continues to encourage more and is willing to wait on you in hopes that you'll change your mind one day, it's because she has insecurities and unidentified needs, and you should back off some, especially if you know without a doubt that you can never feel the same for her. It's hurting you both more to continue like you are right now.

Pursue a relationship with her only if you feel that you can do justice to her, don't just use her or feel sorry for her. You don't know how lucky you are that your best friend is in love with you, I'll tell you that the best friends are those who love you no matter what and I married mine and we've had a great time in our marriage together.

I've lost alot of friends because of this and I've have this happen to me alot of times but I'm a girl and they were I guy...I tried to just ignore it and say I only wanted them as a friend and they got mad and stopped talking to me...it could be different tho because ur a guy
