I've heard it on the radio and tried googling it and all it gives me is Rascal Flatts. I'm sure it's not them. It really did sound like AJ from the Backstreet boys. Probably wasn't him, but close. And the text is approximate, it might have been something slightly different, but I'm sure about the waiting x 3. I've also found a song by Guys Next Door, but they are ancient and it is not them. I think the song is quite recent since the music sounded like modern RnB/hip-hop. Thanks to everyone.

try that...it's hip hop...from the 1990 era...but I adore that song...and I am thinking this is probably what your referring too
