I love sun and flowers and pretty colors and being a soft girlie girl.
I love helping others and being clean and sober. I love being the opposite of all goth things, sorry.

I was goth back before it became a marketing tool for crap stores like Hot Topic.
People misunderstand goth it's more of a romantic movement than a death obsessed culture. Goths originally were people interested in all things Victorian such as the poetry, clothing, literature, art and so forth. Sure we like the creepy but in the Victorian era people were fascinated by the supernatural. Look at the Victorian influence say in Tim Burton's films and the overt influence in NIN's "The Perfect Drug" video.
I dress very "normal" listen to a lot of electronica but my favorite band will always be The Cure and i have a love for poetry. My hardcore goth friends tell me i am the "gothiest" person they know but i don't "look" the part. Goth is a state of mind.
I've never heard a goth use the phrase "peoplez" before. Then again most of the goths i grew up with never called themselves that because the term hadn't been invented to label us yet.

Welcome to the internet...where everybody has Google at their fingertips, yet virtually none have any clue what it means (or doesn't mean) to be "goth"/"gothic"
That's ok, because it takes just that much less effort to be misunderstood :)
You can be happy...again, a google search might reveal the "Perky Goth"
You can be mopey, hence the "Mopey Goth"
I could go on and on with the oodles of sub-sub-categories we could dissect it into...but it's more fun for those who "get it" and not the everyday citizen who's convinced that being gothic is about being depressed, worshipping the devil, and plotting ways to kill people. Puh-leeze, it would smudge the eyeliner!!!
And of course we all know "Vampires(yres)" exist for all to mock :)
"Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard and be evil!"

everyone I know that categorizes themselves as Goth and try to be all depressed looking are just attention grabbers and thats not who they really are. They want people to think that they are all sad and misserable and hate the world. Most of them would freak if they seen someone killed and wouldn't have the balls to kill someone if they had the chance. My friend who is the biggest preppy looking dude in the world is on death row for killing a woman and her children in cold blood. He was the happiest most normal looking person in the world on the outside. On the inside he is absolutely pure evil

If you mean 'goth' more or less as net.goth defines it, yeah. Try to describe it more next time.

i don't mean to be annoying or anything, but doesn't putting a label on yourself make you feel a little wrong. Why can't we just exist. Our only labels should be our names, that's all i'm saying.
