I got a cell phone back in May from T-mobile and the phone I bought came with mail in rebates or whatever and the other day I went back to ask a question and the person that attended me in May attended me again and she asked me if I had recieved my mail in rebates and I told her that I had not yet recieved them and she told me that I should recieve them after 4 months of having the phone and I told her that i've had my phone for 5 months already and she told me that I should be getting them anytime soon. Now my question is, will I really recieve these "mail in rebates", or did she just tell me that to keep me happy??

Mail in rebates are usually honest. There are reasons when a company is running behind, especially for those thousands that get cell phones at Christmas. Mail-in rebates are popular with companies because so many people just don't send them in. They forget to or they lose the reciept or whatever.

I would suggest you contact T-mobile and inquire about the rebate and if you get no satisfaction file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Best of luck.

most rebate offers are honored. As long as you follow directions to redeem the offer. I was expecting a rebate from "Dell Computers" though I thought I didn't receive it, I did. It was mailed in a 3rd class looking envelope. You know like junk mail it wasn't first class mail even though the check was for $100.00 Even though I got the first re-bate I ripped it up as I thought it was junk. I called Dell and they said they would send another check and they did....it didn't say it was from Dell.....just keep your eye's open and be persistent...good luck..;)
