It's not your baby... the baby won't even be born... we won't know if it was going to be the next Einstein or the next Ted Bundy. What does it matter? There are enough unwanted children around, if you don't do anything to help them after they are born, why bother helping the unborn get born into uncertain circumstances?

Actually, I wasn't aborted because I was planned. But, no one would ever know the difference, including myself, had I been aborted, so, again, I ask, who cares?

I understand it is an extremely personal and private choice, and every woman who feels the need to make that decision has their own personal reasons....but there are people who will care for mother and child, and help them live a better life.
That is what life is to all of us..."uncertain circumstances" as you stated. Life is s h i t t y and life is beautiful all at the same time. There are no guarantees. I've known people born into wealth and loving parents and end up shooting themselves, and I've known people born into poverty with dirt bag parents end up with all the love a person could ever want. You just never know, that's all.

i have a question too....If the mother dosent want to be pregnant what makes people think she would be a good mother to the child even if she kept it alive, do people realize how many children go unadopted every year in this country...it is ridiculous. I am pro choice....let the woman decide, the child would probably end up being abused and unloved...why do people want that to happen...everyone is not a good parent.. people seem to forget that fact when talking about abortion, and when it is done early before the heart develops then they should do , after that i have a problem with, otherwise if they don't want a baby then don't have a baby....

This is in response to one of the answers above. Comparing a child and a fetus are two distinct things. A fetus is unborn and therefore depends on a body to give it life, it does not have life itself. You shouldn't care what a person does with their own body, it affects you in no particular way. The morals argument has gotten old, especially when not all people believe in a God.

Someone's gotta care about the mothers and fetuses because it's people with your perspective is what's leading to all the "unwanted" and abandoned children. Those that care are making a difference in at least a couple children's lives. And the majority of the mother's that abort their "fetuses" are tormented by it and affected physically because of it for years to come. For all we know if we could trade people with your perspective for those unborn fetuses we might get something done around here.

Ok so think about it this way, what if your mom felt that way when you were a fetus. Now we don't have to answer that question, because your mom killed you before you were born.
It isn't that people care about you or your body, but the fetus can't speak up and say i want to be born. And if you are religious in any aspect, you chose to get pregnant and have this baby, just as this baby chose to born. Either way, it is still killing a life. To bad your mom didn't get that abortion either, right???

I agree with you 100%....Pro-life individuals keep saying if you don't want the baby just put it up for adoption, but what about the thousands of children who set in foster homes with no family of their own. Why bring more children into the world that aren't loved and wanted. Abortion is a way of getting rid of an unwanted fetus, which allows wanting parents to adopt children already alive who need homes and familys..Why bring more helpless needy children into the world?
Thank you for your point...

Most probably cause every human life (including a fetus') has inherent worth and dignity and is rightfully deserving to be born.
If the parents do not want the baby, sign him/her up for adoption where others may find the baby a blessing to their lives.
And next time, learn about contraceptives and use them.

Hello its potentially human life, does that not mean anything to you. Let's transfer that unborn fetus and call it you before you were born. If we got rid of it because," hey what does it matter"? Well it only means that someone like you wouldn't be here on this earth.
it's a very controversial issue and i agree that it's a personal choice but in the end if it involves a human life it should be taken very seriously. Please don't tell me we are getting to the stage where humans and seen as and treated like animals

Well, all i gotta say is, if you want to kill your own creation, and miss out on the memories the two of you could have, ill question your sanity.
I think its vain, and selfish. this is whats wrong with America, we care about nobody but ourselves. My best friend got an abortion - and i hammered it to her - because she said the words "i dont want that thing"
Its a human. Do you value your life? You enjoyed al lthe memories and fun times? What if your mom killed you because she "didnt want that thing (you)" wouldnt be fun, eh? Think about what your doing to someone (yes, a baby is a someone) as if it were you, before you do it.
As for those orphan kids. once agian, lets remember, 10% of America is gay - homeless and orphaned children doesnt even register a percent. Let gays adopt them. Recent studies show gays are just as good of parents as straights, and they are NOT more likely to molest a child than a striaght couple....no im not gay, but its troubling that we stereo-type other people because of what they do in thier bedrooms....solved that problem....
and womens rights? they have rights. plenty. they decide to have sex, they decide to have it without a condom, they decide to put themselves in a situation in which thier judgement for sex may be impaired. theres your womans rights. and for Rape? did you know Rape victims would drop by 70% if we tought women anti-rape classes? i think its time we add a new class to high school....
And why do i care? because i value my life, and i praise god - that hes given me so many good times, and hopefully, many more to come. i couldnt imagine my mother killing me, because she was selfish and only worried about herself....

Based on the first part of your question, I guess the same applies to someone taking the life of a strangers very young child. Why do you care? What does it matter
