Yes it is a tough decision. Talk to your coaches. They often know which schools are good and which ones are not.
Are you a senior or a junior ?? if you are a senior, I think you have until Feb. 15 to sign a letter of intent.
Check out the schools. See what works for you.
What are your interests ? Ask your guidance counselor for help.
Are your grades good ? Division I schools take only the "cream of the crop" academically.
Remember too that at the college level, everyone is / was a high school star.
At a Division I school you may be just average and many kids do not play until their junior or senior years.
Finish your season, do not quit !! You will regret it.

First you need to decide what is best for you. I understand the Texas football pressure. I have lived in Texas for a long time. Next think about education along with your possible college football . With that in mind also think about your family . What would they want you to do. Do you want to live a long ways from them or be close to them so they can help you with decisions and other problems that can arise. Next think about the cost of the College. If you can get a scholarship then that will help you a lot. It kind of sounds like you are not enjoying playing football. If that is the case then I would say quit. But also realize this if you are good enough to get a scholarship then go ahead and play and then that will help with your education. Just try and make the game fun for you again. Good luck.

That's great your a football star but you need to go back to the classroom and learn how to spell and complete a sentence , then I'm sure you will have a promising career .

Boo Hoo you know how many ppl would like to be in your position just think of all the players on your team and your coaches and your family who have helped you with hard work, and teaching to get you were you are today....You would be pissing on everyone who ever helped you if you just rolled over and died You owe to yourself and to everyone else to become somebody and to help those who aren't as fortunate as yourself
