In Texas an incumbent Governor with a 60% approval rating failed to be reelected while a scum-bag "won". You tell me what a boss can do in Texas.

If you have a pay stub showing the raise. Especially a yearly evaluation showing the raise, then no he can't and Human resources should be informed. However they may turn on you too if not handled right. Explain that you are no less loyal than before you took on the second "part time" job. Explain that if they could just put you full time, you would be so happy you'd quit the other job. You can of course, turn them into the wage and labor board. You might even be able to sue but you would have to talk to an employment attorney.

If you don't have it in writing, you don't have "it"!
How much do you want to keep this job? If you can lose it, then go to HR and complain. DO NOT count on other employees to help you out, they probably won't. Most people (sorry its true) are cowards when it comes to standing up to a boss, and most people only look out for themselves, I am speaking from years of experience.
Texas, like Florida, where I live is a right to work state. Which is a BS term for, employees get the shaft, and theres not much you can do about it!
You have no proof, and unless do you want to stir things up for a small raise? Only you can answer that question.

You need to contact the Texas Workforce Commission. They will be able to answer your questions and possibly set you up with an attorney if the employer is in violation of the law.
I am not sure a verbal agreement is binding though. ALWAYS get raise offers in writing.

Let me guess. You work for Walmart. Walmart managers are carefully selected for their low IQ. When they take the test, only those with the lowest intelligence are promoted to manager. So your expectations are way too unrealistic. You must understand you're dealing with a congenital moron. If I may offer a gentle piece of criticism, never whine. Whining gets you absolutely nowhere. Resolve to get an education, move up, and never, ever allow yourself to be placed in a situation where you're fighting over pocket change. You're way smarter than that.

I live in Texas too, and if I were you...I'd go STRAIGHT to the HR office! Go over his head! Sounds like someone needs to be replaced. But that won't happen until enough people stand up to the a**hole!!!
Be the first in line!!! Take a stand!!! Others will follow.

No. they are probable in basic terms awarding her for status up for what she believes. No Christian believes evolution is Satanic or a fantasy. they only have their very own opinion of ways the international began. some human beings in her place would have finished the politically ideal element yet rather she stood as much as all of the judges, and hundreds of thousands of human beings staring at, and suggested precisely what she believed. it could look unusual to think of of it as a feat of bravery, yet honesty, think of of ways no longer common that's going to have been to settle on despite if to do the desirable element or take the user-friendly way out and win. what style of a Christian would she be then?

Unfortunately, it is legal. The store can raise (or lower) one's wages as they see fit. Although they do risk having you quit over it. It really comes down to ethics. It isn't very ethical to do what he did, so the question is whether you want to continue to work for someone that is unethical. It is likely that he will continue to treat you poorly.

it's legal, sort of......it's your word against his and he'll just say you are lying and he never offered. just because he can get away w/ it doesn't make it any less a chicken **** move. have you thought of finding a different job? if you can find another p/t job, why not just go for full time? then you can tell him he was right.......******** is no longer your first priority.

In Texas, my state, is pro-business that means no to your question, and you will get fired if you push it.
This is what the GOP means when it says it is pro-business, they are right because they are more powerful than you, you are nothing in their eyes because you don't donate millions of dollars.
Sorry but you really don't have a legal leg to stand on.
