I am currently going thru divorce. Have been seperated from my husband for almost 2 yrs. We are just waiting on court date. My bf is active duty in the USAF. If I were to get pregnant before divorce is final, would bf get into trbl with military?? He's been in it for 8 yrs and plans to retire(SSGT). We will take precautions if he would get into trbl, but if not, we would like to start a family together. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE. I'm almost 27 and bf is 26.

The military don't play when it comes to marriage, divorce, cheating, etc.

My wife's has a friend whose husband is in the military. He has threatened divorce and said if he did, he wouldn't send her a dime.
She told him, "oh I'm not worried about whether you send it or not. I will call your MSGT and he will make sure the money arrives to me monthly" (I guess by check with-holdings, which also look bad on those that are getting the withholdings taken.)

So don't you think if the military will rip a guy if he doesn't pay child support or alimony, how much more they will do to a guy that gets a semi-divorced military's wife prego?

Don't do it at this time.

My ex-husband was in the US army and my boy friend is in the USAF also. He can get discharged for committing adultery especially if the other man is in the military so be care full. The US military is a lot about morals they have stupid laws like so Ive heard you are only supposed to have sex missionary position because any other way is disgrace to the military. That I don't know about but I do know he CAN get dishonorably discharged for being with a married woman.

Actually adultery is very hard to prove in the military, but having a child would definitely give your stbex the ammo to sabotage your sig. others career, especially if he doesn't want the divorce or if hes vindictive so to be on the safe side maybe file for the Divorce before you and your sig. other think about starting a family.

since he's the only one in the military.... all they would do is make sure you and the baby are taken care of ...lots of single guys in the military have gotten girls pregnant and they are made to pay child support (if the kid is his) ... my brother told me about lots of guys trying to skip out of paying child support but the military made them pay it.
I wouldn't suggest living together or having a baby with someone unless you are free and then go get married and raise a family....less complications that way.

Wait till you're completely divorced, marry your current child and then have a legal child. Illegal children are always legal headaches and he could get in trouble too.

He can get in trouble, but only if he willingly admits that it's his child. The military can not force a paternity test on you. It violates you civil rights.

don't do it! he can get in big trouble, 30 days in the brig, decrease in pay and possible dishonorable discharge if they found out the truth.
