You all are the most ardent evangelists and never cease trying to shove your beliefs down peoples' throats. Since you have no moral compass, your way would make society "worser". There are plenty of examples of atheist societies. Cambodia and the old Soviet Union, for example.

Atheism is based on the idea that you don't have to believe in God to be a good person---and indeed that maybe not believing in God makes you a better person.
I think if you knew religion was steering a certain person into the wrong direction morally, I think you have a right to tell them so. Religion could actually be corrupting their mind, and it would be immoral NOT to help them out.
I don't think it's okay though to convert someone who is a better person because of religion. If they are a good person, why try to change them?

I don't think we should convert them, but rather challenge their beliefs and try to stretch out their minds a little while also broadening our own mind.
I also think that the human mind is still weak, and needs to cling onto religion still. Eventually I hope that we can move on from our primitive ways of explaining the universe, but for now I think a lot of people need religion. A world without it would probably be very dark and people would be terrified of death.

Worse.
I'm a Christian, and I have nothing agaisnt atheists.
Most people just prefer to live theor lives believing in something, just because they should. God touches them, and they become His forever.
I have a logical mind. I like theoretical books on the Bible and Bible theories, etc. But at the end of the day, I still believe in God.
I do firmly believe in Him, and can understand why some would not.
It's a diffcult question to answer, but I think that making people believe that their lives have no divine guidance, will depress too many people, and make us even more unsure of ourselves than we already are.

haha! yes it would be reasonable just because they would try to convert an athiest into a (insert religion here)
honestly i think religion is silly and spirituality is everything. if you look at the bigger picture then being so morbid as to say there is no god or whatnot the world will be a much more gloomy place. i think hope is important for alot of people

No, I think people should come to atheism on their own terms. As atheists, we should know better than anybody else what it's like to have beliefs forced upon us and crammed down our throat every opportunity. The world wouldn't benefit from 'forced atheism'. It would only make things worse.

I dont think that it would be that easy to convert people. And as far as the benefits...In my opinion, I dont think much will change..People who fight in the name of god are really just using it as an excuse to kill...If we had no religion people will still have disagreements and still have wars. If anything people will just be more honest about it and say why they are really waging wars. People have fought for Land, Power and Riches way b4 there was religion..

I wouldn't count on conversions it's a lot like banging your head
against the wall ...mostly they are ill equipped to respond so debate is usually futile but good exercise in keeing the truth in the open some may have an epiphany 20 yrs later as it sinks in, but
not many ......faith in the impossible fantasy is like a fire wall made of everything from fear of hell to blind acceptance.....

It would make it worse, they aren't hurting you and you have a choice whether or not you want to read what they wrote or not; If you don't care what they are saying why does it bother you
