I am obsessed beyond normal...almost envious of their 'super powers'. How do I ween myself away from this evil fixation?

Maybe you are obsessed because the challenge of analyzing their sick twisted strategic minds is easy for you to understand the channeled complexity of their brilliance and masterminding. Not saying that is a compliment but whatsoever it is extremely fascinating to you. Right or wrong. Stop researching the news about these people. The less you read and research the less you know and you won't be so consumed by them.

If you hadn't said "...almost envious..." I'd suggest you might want to get into profiling. But seems you're too subjective for that. A psychopath does NOT have "super powers." Also, one LENGTHY answer to your question was extremely good--when I'm through here, I'll give a thumbs up. Actually, I thought the description was more of a "sociopath," but, I hope you read it carefully. I've been intrigued by "criminal" minds, but you do seem obsessed...

Well they don't have "super powers" just a brain disorder and or a personality/attitude problem....not to be envied or desired, their world is not a happy place to be(or for those around them either) ....your fixation is not evil maybe hopefully just ill informed...

Be careful what you want .......you may get it ....

Imagine - if you can - not having a conscience, none at all, no feelings of guilt or remorse no matter what you do, no limiting sense of concern for the well-being of strangers, friends, or even family members. Imagine no struggles with shame, not a single one in your whole life, no matter what kind of selfish, lazy, harmful, or immoral action you had taken.

And pretend that the concept of responsibility is unknown to you, except as a burden others seem to accept without question, like gullible fools.

Now add to this strange fantasy the ability to conceal from other people that your psychological makeup is radically different from theirs. Since everyone simply assumes that conscience is universal among human beings, hiding the fact that you are conscience-free is nearly effortless.

You are not held back from any of your desires by guilt or shame, and you are never confronted by others for your cold-bloodedness. The ice water in your veins is so bizarre, so completely outside of their personal experience, that they seldom even guess at your condition.

Like "The One" above said- they are not to be admired or envied. Truth be told, those people are miserable human beings. Maybe you've been a victim of one and you envy them because they had power over you. Maybe you are fixated on these destructive entities because you have PTSD brought on by severe trauma at the hands of one of these demons. Don't be envious...get away! Leave them in their misery and get away from their toxic fumes!

Psychopaths do not have super powers. They are simply crazy. Maybe you should consider a career in sociology or psychology to help these people. Just don't become so obsessed that you lose touch with reality and become a psychopath yourself. I think it could actually happen if you aren't careful.

Psychopaths do not have 'super powers', they have less, not more, of what makes a person human. I hope you can ween yourself, because an encounter with one of the less dangerous ones could "ween " you very well indeed.

They don't have "super-powers". They can do what they do because the part of their brain that would involve conscience, compassion, and empathy is "dead". On top of that, they have twisted sexual urges much of the time or else derive from pleasure from causing suffering and killing. My "head tells me" these are human beings, but I just see them as walking zero's who are needy, pathetic, to weak in character or mentality to control their own actions, and so consumed by their selfish needs they disregard human life.

There's a part of me that feels bad that some little kid will be abused to the point where he turns into a psychopath, but I usually don't even want to hear about the psychopath adults. Sorry. They're just trash to me.

I think you should just decide not to fill your head with stuff about these people. You have one life and one mind. You only have the moment you're in. Tell yourself ot to waste your thoughts on hopeless cases that have destroyed lives and caused such horror. Don't give them more power by allowing them to capture your attention and precious thinking time. I have a "thing" that I owe it to the victims of these monsters not to give them more power than they took when they committed their horrors. I have a "thing" that God wouldn't want that garbage in my mind, and that it is, in some way, my responsibility not to do even some small thing to contribute to any notoriety or "keeping alive of" these monsters and to instead view them as nothing more than corpses, whether or not they continue to breathe.

(Just some "pleasant" thoughts I figured I'd offer in my attempt to help you "wean" yourself away.)

it is okay that you realise that you have a fascination. Being conscious of it will ensures that you know the difference between right and wrong. We need people like you in the world, if you go on and study psychopaths - hell we could major breakthroughs in violent crime prevention.

Why would you want to "ween yourself away?" It IS a very fascinating topic.. It's interesting when you consider what causes it, and how they act, and what they're thinking or what they see.

It is a very fascinating subject, but don't let it become your life. Try to find happier things in life.
