Because falling is involuntary. Usually, when you fall, you didn't mean to and you can't stop yourself. Standing in love would be idle and a purposeful movement.

Because when you are in Love, you loose your control the same way as you do when you fall down. Standing up means having things under control, or in your senses. When you fall in Love you loose control of your senses and mind become blind to the realities of life.

maybe because when you fall in love you're not aware of what might happen to you,it's just like entering in a trap.
