Yes, I believe so. The last few years were transition and now i think they have it. PreSeason starts today!!!

The Lakers can easily make it to the Western finals IF Lamar Odom can consistently put up big numbers with Kobe on the court playing his game. People keep saying Kobe doesn't pass, Kobe's selfish, Kobe this and Kobe that! But, have they actually watched all the games? Especially the ones when Kobe does the right thing and passes the ball and it ends up right back in his hands for a very tough last second shot. It's not his fault that he's extremely gifted and it's not his fault that he's just too talented for his own good. Lamar Odom and the rest of the Lakers need to learn how to play THEIR game WITH Kobe on the floor and they'll be very successful. In the playoffs, your team doesn't have to be better than the other team as a whole, as long as you've got that one player that drives fear into the opposition's hearts!

Nope.... Lets be honest here have the lakers improved the team?? Who did they add? Vlad Radmanovic? Anybody else? J. Farmer? Come on now.... As much as I hate the Lakers (being a CLIPS fan) Kobe can NOT win by himself! He needs help from the entire team. Lamar needs to show up and play every single game (instead of scoring 20 or more points every 5th game).
Are the lakers a championship team with Lamar, Mihm, (sorry) Kwame, Bynum, Smush, Cook, and old Mckie???

no kobe bryant needs more help. the lakers are just an average nba team. they need a another superstar to go along with kobe. like a KG. must improve at making teammates better.

if they ever do they need a better pg adn a better center but kobe is the gifted one no won can say any thing about him his to good fo the NBA he should do something better BY THE WAY THE LAKERS WILL GET TO THE PLAY OFFS

I doubt it. I wish they would. They can't though until Lamar steps up and is more consistant. That and they need to find a pg. Smush stunk during the phoenix series.
