basically publisher is the way to go, but if you want to start simpler look online for magazines that publish peoples writings (they do exist) to get some exposure, also try posting them on the web u never know whos looking and though its rare to just get discovered the more exposure your writing gets the better chance you'll have of being successful, you can also try entering them into competitions i'm afraid i dont know any off the top of my head at the moment, but things like that are going on all the time like i said before the more exposure the better chance of someone seeing your work, keep trying with publishers too though you'll have to go through them eventually hard work and persistence can have good benifits

Yes there is a short cut, first I suggest you continue the 'long haul' it certainly will take ages, (but not the 30 years you have been hanging on to your first book)!!
Type publishers into your search engine and wade through, I expect you know that already? OK then the short cut is to self publish, via a publisher, get loads of quotes for prices charged and services on offer, if you go on that route it will all take around 6 weeks!
I assume you have let friends read them and asked for their opinion?? If not do so, ask them to tell you the truth, ask them to read the books to their children. (Doesn't really matter if they are short children or tall children)!!
Not many publishers will even bother to read them but some certainly will!!
Do you think they are worth publishing? that's the main question. It really is great to get a book published even if its just for your own satisfaction and some thing to hand over to friends and family!
Don't ever think you are going to make a bundle of money, or dream of film rights etc, I suggest you keep at it and wish you all the best in your venture!
Feel free to contact me, if I can help in any way I will.

First protect your interests ie:ensure no one copies your ideas.Dunno how to do this myself but I'm sure someone at the publishing houses would tell you.
Secondly try and get one of them published in a kiddies magazine then gauge the feedback.
Thirdly try and get a printer to print them out yourself...say a few hundred copies of the first story and see how they sell.
Anyway good luck and remember JK Rowling started off with a small idea and look at her now...

Grammar replaced right into a difficulty, i finished interpreting after the third mistake I study. ok, maximum newborn's books and nursery rhymes have a longtime meter (the quantity of syllables in a line). Yours are kinda everywhere. perhaps restoration that. additionally, your grammar isn't stable, only wanting atrocious. restoration that for particular. different than that, what I study regarded ok, humorous tale-line, etc. attempt to restoration the above, and perhaps i will end interpreting them =)

I hope you got your books copyrighted. you need to protect your work then I recommend showing it to others. Unfortunately, publishing is like any other business, it's all about making money.
don't doubt your writing x

one suggestion is to contact a writer to ask them for advice, but don't ask them to look at your stuff.
Yes, It's worthwhile.
