I think what you should be asking is if foreign countries new how much crude oil was in Texas would they invade us. Texas caps off at least 88% of the wells they drill after the completion of drilling is done. We or Texas has a large amount of crude oil, but the government is wanting the U.S. to use foreign country crude cause it is cheaper and can be taxed. When all their oil is gone, well Texas may have no choice but to come independent and fight for what they have. That is why so many are trying to push for Texas to become the Republic of Texas and withdraw from the U.S. as a state. Who knows the answer to this question exactly?

dude, oil was discovered in Texas a long time ago -- the US already owns it, it doesn't have to invade :)

Oil was discovered in Texas over 100 years ago and if Bush thought it would benefit him and his rich friends he would kill everyone in sight.
