Isn't this what preemptive war is all about? Going to war on a suspicion and a whim?? why the hesitation? Surely haliburton, shell, exxon and other companies the administration is completely unrelated to could profit from- I mean... uhhh... support our freedom. I wish bush could run for a third term, maybe then the earth could finally be rid of its infection of H. sapien the most miserable disease any organism has ever experienced...

Nice Sarcasm My good fellow. heres the answer t:Bush cant declare War on N. Korea yet because the house will not back him with the necessary funds to go to War and the ridicule from the american people will be a major point also...So what will happen in a months is another plane will fly into a building but this time he will plant Korean hijackers on it which will give him the permission from the house to get the funds to fight the war.and the people will be behind him,not knowing that it was all planned..But since I fear for my life I will end this by saying,Im just joking OR AM I?By the way from looking at the map I dont think korea has much to offer with their land. Korea is importing a lot of fluorite/oil becuz theri land is so unvaluable this why their building reactors.I think you may be thinking of Mongolia which is hugely known for their resources..But then again im just some guy that sits in the back being quite so what do I know..
I pityt he FOOl that doesn't know the country which he thrives on.

Bush has a habit of delaying responses, maybe he will declare war (military action, what's the diff?). He may just be practicing enunciating "nuclear". I would think he would be most concerned with the Afghan civil war and the latest Taliban efforts to control the country. His chum Chaney has more to lose in Iraq so forget about Korea or Afghanistan for now. Greed has perverted our Democracy, they will come after me as an enemy combatant if I don't shut up. You too.

Bush can't declare war. Only the Senate can declare war.

While North Korea has been getting pushy with their nukes and missile tests, they are still a sovereign country. They have the right to build whatever weapons they want. Nobody has tried to stop the USA when we build our weapon systems.

Having WMDs is not such a big deal. It just means you are a target and if you are foolish enough to use WMD, your country will be destroyed in retaliation.

War with N. Korea would provoke China to join with N.Korea and possibly invade Taiwan. Of which would bring in Japan, Philippines, S. Korea. The makings of a major war and with possible nuclear responses.

Remember it was the Clinton administration that gave much of N. Korea its nuclear knowlege and China deep sea ports in the United States.

No, we haven't declared war against North Korea because Bush is obsessed with Iraq. It's NOT about a "war on terror", "fighting for freedoms", or "WMD's". It's REALLY all about THIS!...

The main reason is that Bush and his cronies do not have the weapons and military (men/women) resourses.

It would also be difficult to conjure up popular support for another endless war.
