What years are we talking? To me it all depends on what you need in a truck. Stability? Ford. Pulling power/torque? Chevy. There is really no one right answer when it comes to pickups.

Chevrolet, no contest.

at the parking lot at my work, there are about 70% chevys compared to about 10% Fords, and 20% other makes. i know, this is a small example, but it is all i got.

also, i always see more Chevrolets on the road and parked, wherever i go.

maybe this is because most Fords are stuck in repair shops.

also, if you want a useful, dependable, powerful pickup, choose chevy because it is all that. and when you get a ford, i have seen things like bed wall height, cabin interior, and overall design being factors that are not appealing to the buyer. there are just too many unconvenient things about fords that it is better to buy a chevy.

For me and my money, Ford wins hands down. Chevy isn't terrible, better than a dodge. If you are going to use your truck like a truck, look at what contractors, farmers, other people that really depend on their trucks drive. These are the people that can't have an undependable truck. But decide for yourself, test drive one or more of each in the way you would be using it (towing, hauling, ect.) and remember to compare apples to apples. Don't get a F150 with a V6 with 3:08 gears and expect it to tow or haul like a Chevy with a V8 with 4:11 gears.

That depends on your taste for contour and simplicity,if you like the answer then chevy is the way to go,since they have less moving parts for their ignition system, but if you are like me I look at the bigger picture ,MAINTAINENCE,which is the key element in the upkeep of any vehicle, the rewards are tremendous and you get a lot of bang for your buck,so when they tell you that imports are better you would know that care is the keyto having a better truck.
