There is this baby oil called Cradle Cap you can use and it is called cradle cap when babies have a dry scalp.
Here are some links to some cool companies who sell cradle cap oil.
Hope this has helped you.

After bathing with diluted baby shampoo, dry the scalp really well and then apply mineral oil (available at any drug store). There are no scents, preservatives or chemicals. I used the end of a soft baby brush to help lift the flakes off and then gently comb them out. Just stay on top of it. The hair looks oily for a while.

I'm not sure if it has gotten as bad as cradle cap yet or not, but I agree with others saying rub some baby oil (almond oil) on your baby's head a little before bath time, then make sure to wash his/her scalp well with baby shampoo. You dont have to be afraid of hurting your baby by giving a nice scalp massage with your fingertips, and if it's progressed into cradle cap after a few times of doing that it should be gone.

Don't use baby oil!!! It can actually make their hair fall out. If it's cradle cap your talking about, you can make a paste of water and baking soda and gently rub it into the scalp.....or....And this is gonna sound weird, but it works...you can rub a wet(pee) diaper on there head and leave it there (the urine) for about 15 mins. then wash it out.My family has used this technique for many generations. If it's just a dry scalp, not cradle cap, then use a little child's conditioner. Feel free to contact me for more details.Have a great day!♥

I agree w/ Chris H- I used to rub lotion with baby oil onto my daughters head about a half hour before I gave her a bath, then brush her hair as I rinsed it.

baby oil is definatly the way to go, put a small amount on at the beginning of the bath and let it sit for several minutes, use a baby comb alternating front to back then back to front very lightly wash and rinse, it should take about 3 sessions to clear it completely.

Thats called cradle cap, just rub a bit of baby oil on it. It should disappear in a couple of weeks. Nothing to worry about.

I don't like using baby oil on infants. (Just can't bring myself to rub a petrolium product into their skin... plus it never soaks in well.)
We've always used olive oil instead. (It actually gets absorbed by the skin, unlike the mineral oil in "baby oil".) Works well on dry, flaky baby-hands and baby-feet, too, if your little one came late.
(Apparently, dry skin is common in post-term babies.)
