Surfdiva you rock.
It's a well known fact turtles of every species (especially the leatherback) are keen 'vogue'-sters and consequently are very envious of other, better dressed animals regardless of genus.
They may have had a pique of jealousy when they spotted a sexy looking crustacean in your shellfish drawer and unzipped themselves from their Gucci shell and leapt to their death in the salad tray.
Check below the cabbage.

Um..... I don't really know what to say to this stupid question. First off I hope you are just being stupid, but if you are serious, keeping a turtle in a fridge is not the proper inviorment. A turtle could not survive in a refrigerator for two hours. Second off turtles can't leave their shells. A shell is part of their body and they cant leave it like hermit crabs can. If anyone ever finds an empty turtle shell that means that the turtle has died.

Turtles do not exit their shells without help. THis kind of help cannot be gotten without injuring your turtle so severely that he would be better off dead, if not dead from the extraction procedure anyway. It would take a very skilled surgeon to remove the turtle from his shell without instantly killind him, and he wouldn't live long after. Plkus, he is a cold-blooded animal and would die from his intensive thawing/hibernation cycle which you have described, taking him out to feed him. Your question is fake neways, why am I wasting my time here?
