I also agree, jobs are very important...but if the environment becomes unstable and uninhabital..how would anybody be able to work in it? Protecting the environment is important.

I believe that both go hand in hand. First, without the environment's protection being up to par, it would ultimately affect the jobs present in that environment if you think about it. An unsafe environment accounts for unsafe jobs. How can the people keep a good job if they live in an unstable environment?

But depends on where they live and where their jobs are. I know I'm getting a little technical here, but I'm trying to explain myself. Or it could be the other way around, protect the jobs first so enough money could be raised to use for optimizing the environment. I don't know...that's the best I could give you. But somewhat, both go hand in hand in a way.

That's the trick right there.....big business, polluting businesses tell us that we must be more lax on epa standards to keep jobs...but in reality, we can have both...we must make businesses be more responsible for the pollution that they create, and increase tarriffs on imports and give tax incentives, (these ideas are just a small tip of the iceburg, but it will get you started) to keep our businesses in the US...we must protect both interests...and it can be done, dont let people fool you into thinking any different
good luck with your speech

Environment definitely... People's jobs are just temporary... you can always find other jobs. The environment, on the other hand, is irreplaceable.. once you ruin it, that's it; there are hardly any second chances to reverse what you have done. For example, creatures that are already extinct... you can't get it back, can you? They are gone forever. How about our ozone layer? How do you replace it once it is gone?

I guess protecting people's jobs. The environment is damaged past repair already - nothing much anyone can do about it now.
