If your period is late but still having the cramps then you may be pregnant so go to either the chemist and get a HPT or to your GP to get a blood test, don't always rely on the HPT if it comes back negative it could be false. Blood test is best. Good luck.

Sometimes periods do not run like clockwork. There is a possibility your cramping could be due to ovulation. Give it another week, and if you don't start then, I would go get a pregnancy test at the drug store. You can get one for less than $10. If your pregnancy test comes up negative, then it may be best for you to check yourself with your family doctor. Hope all is well with you and good luck.

It could simply mean your period is late, and it's about to start. You could have intestinal flu or a bad case of gas.
However, if you are sexually active, you *could* be pregnant and you should see your doctor and have a pregnancy test. Home tests are also fairly accurate. If your pregnancy test is positive, you have some decisions to make about your life. Taking responsibility for your actions is part of being a mature adult!
If you ARE pregnant, you are also responsible for the life of an unborn person. Think carefully before you make your choices and get good advice from adults who care about you.

You can have cramping feelings with a pregnancy. When the fertilized egg implants in your uterus it feels like cramping. I've had 3 kids - I know. Go get a pregnancy test right away. They are extremely accurate even 1 day after missing your period.

Generaly when you are close to your period your ovaries are swollen so you are going to feel the same way as if you are having it. Some times it might be late bacause of anxiety, but if you try some wet towels on your abdomen youl feel better and after a day or two (if you are no pregnant) you'll have your period.

Take a test. If it says negative, wait another week and take another one. I had cramps early on in both pregnancies and I thought it was my period trying to come but it wasnt.

It could just mean you're having a late period. But you should go ahead and take a pregnancy test because that's a big possibility.

some girls their period time changes and with that may come some light additional discomfort
if you are concerned about pregnancy issue - test at home as soon as possible and then on to medical help
do not panic unless several weeks late - all part of being a girl
best wishes!

Just that you are late unless you know of another reason like you might be with child? It's too early to tell if so. Wait another week and get the test. could be stress.

Cramping like a period but it's late is a true sign of pregnancy.
