BUNCHIK thats you are a replica of exactly what I am questioning. There was no reason for the personal attack but I guess that makes you feel more important to run someone down.Sounds like your the one that needs to go to bed.

It has been my experience that people have debated and criticized past and present President’s with great enthusiasm. People are still discussing and/or arguing over FDR, Truman and Eisenhower.
You are right about past presidents usually not criticizing the current president. This was true because they remembered how big the responsibility was and how much pressure they were under. Having every decision they made critiqued and analyzed with at least half the people unhappy with your decision no matter what it was. The difference with Bill Clinton is that his wife is in the run for President and he is campaigning for her by criticizing the President. He has in fact become friends with George Bush Sr. He is able to do this because Senior is no political threat.

I think you are imagining a time that never existed. That is, even while the president was generally treated with respect there would be plenty of people gouging insults from every corner of the spectrum. Or at least after you get past Washington. Read an autobiography of John Adams or Andrew Jackson. Now if you take the current example I would jump right in front of the line and would find it hard to hold my tongue in his presence. Having been mostly embarrassed by him, I have developed a deep anger at his willingness to throw what was cherished around the world down the drain. For now, on top of all stupidity, lies, and greed, the United States has decided torture is OK. In other words the terrorists just won. You may think that it's just mild torture but any torture is not my America! That straw is the one that got me off of my lazy *** to fight to get these Republicans replaced. And more than a little nervous that they would read this...

This is a truly a different situation. Our republic is at stake. There is a gathering body of evidence that Bush is not the legitimate president. If you are not frightened by the things that are going on, you're either blind, deaf, or a complete fool that gets their news and outlooks from FOX. Use your brain and start doing serious research. Even if you overlook the incredible corruption and fraud of this administration, at least take heed of the elections themselves. These are different times, and people had better start waking up and smelling the coffee while there is still coffee to smell.

They're called the Clintons, Clintonites, and Clintonistas, the lowest, most depraved and unscrupulous bunch to ever come to Washington and poison it for the forseeable future. The whole Democrat party is now Clintonized, and civility will not return until their influence has been purged from it. And these were the people who pretended to decry the "politics of personal destruction!" What a laugh.

If I met Bill Clinton and he stuck out his hand for me to shake it I would walk away. It would be all I could do not to spit on it. The lowest filth ever to hold the office. Having nothing to do with the Monica scandal by the way.

I respect the office of the President of the United States, but I do NOT respect George W. Bush. I say this because he has no respect for the American people. Lying to us, misleading us into war, etc etc is a sign of blatant disrespect to both our values and our intelligence.
