You can probably wear anything you want, pants or skirt. Most vets wear white "doctor" coats over their shirt. They wear pants often, because sometimes job can get messy and dirty working with animals, and thus women vets often wear pants. And white doctor coat hides most of it anyway.
Do not concern yourself at this moment with such a minor concern as to what to wear. You have much studying to become a vet, at least 8 years of college. By then, you will be much older, and look back at this question and laugh. Because once you are educated as a vet, you will have much knowledge, and will then (I hope!) realize how insignificant it will be whether you wear pants or skirt. Good luck. It is a long road you choose. You must try very hard, and it will be a lot of work, but if it is your love to do this, then maybe you will make it. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. You see, MANY people want to be vets, but there is space for only a limited number, so you must do very well in college and learn.

And that should be your MAJOR concern right now, not wearing skirts or pants.

im sure there is no reason you couldnt wear a skirt or even cuolots (shorts/shirt) but realize that veterinaary school is long and hard and so is being a vet you have to get up at all hours of the nite and work very hard.

You can wear what you want. And for preveterinary medicine you don't have to go to a college with a veterinary school. And normally you want to attend a university for a vet program that is different than where you get your undergrad degree. It looks better and it's easier to get accepted into vet school.

honestly, if clothing is your main issue on whether or not you should become a vet, then dont. trust me when i say being a vet takes serious dedication, and if you cant be willing to make even a clothing sacrafice then you need to think about a different proffession
