Please give me some suggestions on what jobs are enjoyable. Out-of-the office jobs are mostly welcome. And when I say fun, I mean in the sense of good clean fun. It must be moral and legal.

The reason why I'm asking is because the pay is really not good wherein I work but everything else about it is convenient for me. I'm an accountant. I would want to have a job wherein the compensation package is attractive but I'm afraid of pressure and stress. I also don't like the idea of working overtime and on Saturdays.

So, do you enjoy your job? What do you do and why do you enjoy it?

So what advice can you give me? Thanks.

the answer is plain; YOUR!!! most fun job is the one where you cant wait to get there, you would glady do it for free, but you just happen to get a salary. look for what makes you happy, needed, contributed, and fullfilled. look within.

I'm the son of an Accountant and all growing up I wanted to do something more exciting than Accounting. What I've discovered now that I'm 30 is that Accountants are on average the highest paid professionals in the country. Anything else that you do would probably involve a pay cut. Me.. I've gone into broadcasting (radio) and I don't make much, but I love my job and enjoy my blue collar lifestyle. I love my job, because I am free to be creative and have the liberty to bring wild ideas to the table. Don't discount accounting, because you don't have to spend your career as an accountant. You can get involved with so many fields as a financial adviser, sales, etc. with your background.

You need an attitude change. Being young you should grab the overtime and build up your abilities and contacts. Government jobs are for those who lack skills to get ahead and need to resort to politics to make money. If you can get good at what you do and learn from it a commercial career will be much better than wasting time with the government. Being an auditor for large accounting firms pays well if you get quick results. On site auditing instead of going over books in a big office is much more interesting. The real gains though are probably in the efficiency fields. Most things are now getting done by computer analysis but finding tricks in business gives you better advancement possibilities.

I work with a Christian drama ministry. I've been with them over 20 years now. The pay isn't great, but everything else about it is wonderful. No acting experience is required, but a willingness to learn and to be flexible is necessary. You have to be willing to commit to work in this company for two years if you decide to join. It's also a great way to see what other jobs are available because you meet so many people from all different walks of life. It's fascinating, frankly. Go check out www.covenantplayers.com and see what you think.

A clown...Now that's got to be a fun job...lol...I like my job (26 yrs)
I Started off driving a delivery truck and now work in upper management. It didn't happen overnight, but it's been a fun ride. Find something that you enjoy doing for a living. Once you find that horse, hop on and see where it takes you or you lead it to.
Have fun...

well...my job is great but the company is not as great.

i'm a lighting director. i run lights for concerts. i have gotten to meet many interesting musicians as well as some pretty big names...

its fun to get to see how people are backstage and onstage and who is real and who is not.

the two nicest people i have met to date....

vince gill and chris ledoux.

chris ledoux was standing right next to me in the green room and we had just helped load his gear onto the stage...including a mechanical bull and i said "how the hell do you sing and ride a bull...obviously he isn't that good"

chris laughed so hard and then said "they don't ride the bull very fast"

i must have turned beet red.

he died about a month after this.

i am so proud i got to meet him. and i'm really glad he had a sense of humor!

the president's job.
no pressure or stress ( those things are for others )
pay must be very very good.
bet it is great fun !
not likely any overtime. only there should be someone to think that you are doing a 'heck' of a job.
moral and legal? it is subjective.

Anything you do for a living will stop being fun once it becomes a job.

For example, you might think that playing video games is fun--but if you get a job doing it, as a video game tester, you'll quickly get sick of it.
