Northern Virginia is nice. You have the quick commute in to Washington DC, which has millions of job opportunities, and there are some top-quality neighborhoods/schools up there (but a little pricey)

In terms of housing...Pittsburgh, PA has a great housing market. A family member purchased a three-floor house there for less than 150,000....here where I am (Richmond) it would cost close to 300,000

Kansas City, MO is great

Four true seasons to enjoy - three months and you are on to the next one.

Traffic is not bad

Economy is good and can get alot of house for a fraction of the cost else where

It is the Midwest - people are friendly

There is a lot to do: Auto Racing, football, baseball, blues, bbq, museum, Westport, Crown Center, festivals, concerts (free ones too)

The climate is nice in California but the cost of living is high. Florida & Nevada has lower cost of living! Before moving out, check first the availability of your work in that place.

California is worm,but it costs a lot.It is very expencive to live here.Me and my husband have been working and saving for 15 years and still can't buy a desent house in a desent neighborhood.And we make good money,so cross out Californian.

you can check out the top cities to live in online. Some of the sites will even tell you average housing costs, crime rates, and employment. You might want to consider your hobbies, intrests and recreation choices also.

Some people recommend Atlanta, others prefer Murfreesboro TN. I prefer Cairo, Egypt :)
