As everyone above said, it is correct the dollar and yen currency rate moves up and down so by this summer the rate you are asking for may be different. However, if you are wondering which has more buying power, I would say that you can buy a lot more with a dollar than for instance 100 yen, unless you go to a 100 yen shop.

While the rate vacillates, 100 yen is approx. equal to a U.S dollar. It's the easiest and broadest exchange you can work off of.
