If I buy something at AE.com and it doesn't fit, can I return it at the AE store?

No you can't, unless they have the same exact item at the store. But, usually if you buy something online and you're not satisfied with it, they have a return policy of their own kind. Maybe after 30 days with reciept you can ship it back for a refund or another item that you want. You can check the website at www.ae.com and review their return policies to find out for sure.
