It depends on how many days past ovulation you are. A pregnancy test can show up anywhere from 8 days past ovulation to never (very rare). The usual is 12-16 days past ovulation which if you are regular would mean 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks. The best option is to wait until your period is due and test which you said is today so it should be safe to test. Good luck!

Edited to add: A blood pregnancy test can show up between 8 and 12 days past ovulation so that is another option.

There are some specialized tests that you can buy at the drugstore that can be used as soon as the first day of your missed period, but because some women show more hcg in their bloodstream even sooner than others, you could get a false negative. My friend has had 5 kids and always waited until she was exactly a week late, and than tested with a HPT. If it was positive, she would than schedule a bloodtest for the next week. That way, if it were a false positive, she had another week for her period to start. Just a suggestion!! Good LUCK!!!

I am 18 weeks pregnant, and I took a hpt 2 days before my missied period and it said positive. If your period doesn't start until tom. then you are only 2 weeks not 3.

You can test 10 days after ovulation. It may not show but I personally tested everyday and got a positive on day 12. Good luck.

Its hard to say depends on your own personal pregnancy my friend was 5 and a half weeks pregnant and it still didn't show up on home pregnancy tests only in her blood so i would wait a couple of weeks if i were you to avoid a false negative or get a blood test done
