I haven't had my period for about 3 months now. My friends mom said it was because I am in volleyball and my blood is always flowing. I was wondering if that is true and if it is healthy.

Mine was irregular for about seven years. It would come 3, 4, and even 5 months apart. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong and then all of a sudden it was on the monthly schedule again. I sure do miss those 7 years. But if you are really worried, go to the doctor.

Could be just hormonal. My wife went to the doctor a couple weeks ago with that same question and he said that alot of women have irregular periods. His own wife has hers maybe 3 times a year. Don't see how your blood always flowing has anything to do with a menstrual period since that is your bodys natural cleansing process. Might want to visit your OB/GYN just to make sure everythings fine

Yea, I know I am a guy but trust me I have been around women for a long time, and they love to chat and chat and....

Stress, working out, gaining a lot of weight will all effect your flow and when it happens. It isn't because your blood is flowing (lol), you just don't built up enough estrogen to trigger a period. It is all normal, but since I am not a doctor a simple visit should answer your questions.

Also your age may play a role in it, young ladies are far from regular, and older ladies also aren't regular.

if you had sex, you should check if you are pregnant.
excise is good for you body over all, including have a regular period.
but, stress can cause irregular cycle. I often missed my period when I had a final. Plus, my period comes every 45 days. I had to observe my body carefully. Maybe, you should do it too.
At the same time, I do agree you should check with a doctor. Even if there isn't anything, they can relax you in their special ways.
good luck

Go to the Doctor. You should only take medical advice from a professional. It could be one of many problems.
