yes you can feed grain, a sweet grain or 4-way is best just be careful of the corn content as to much corn is very dangerous for horses. we give our horses grain only as a treat, or when we are working them heavy....

the usual grain fed to horses is oats, it is usually steam rolled and cracked open. Horses can also be fed corn wheat and barley depending the cost in your area. When feeding grain start with a small amount and increase it slowly over a few weeks. Never let a horse eat all it wants of grain, as it makes them sick and they can die

Yep,racehorses in training and as a supplement to grass for other horses,they also get grain from grass and hay.

yes i do it to fatten my horse because his ribs are showing and the grain is making him stronger but you msut keep it at the minimum or else he will colic then founder and you do not want your horse foundering
