Go to your local pharmacy. The name of the product is RID. Make sure you wash everything from pillows to sheets, everything. Do not use other people's comb or other personal stuff.

There are products like NIX to kill lice, but the only way to prevent it is not to come in contact with someone who already has it.

Not sure about a safe PREVENTATIVE, but HairClean123 is a natural product that is equally or more effective than poison-based ones (Rid, etc.).

I doubt there is anything out there that will PREVENT headlice. I'm sure there are ways to treat it, however. Prevention can only happen through education--teaching our children not to share brushes, combs and headgear, and teaching proper sanitary habits.

yes I use basic G I dip each day the hair brush for my kids when i brush their hair i dillute in water i wash their linen with it
stop using shampoo that has sweet smells
