Do some research. How has the candidate voted on past issues? That's the only way to know where their true loyalties lie. Ads are all hype and spin. Some guys will say anything to get your vote and then gladly stick it to you once in office.

Honestly, vote for the candidate that meets your issues, who represents you the most. Forget about the crap about the spoiler vote and wasted vote symptom, it's time for those of us who really want to open the two-party system to ignore and annoy the duopoly. But if you're fed up with the candidate that represents your district and think that the other major party offers a better choice, then go with that. Besides, I don't like the mudslinging campaigns, that's a disgrace for us voters and our democracy! Vote with your gut and don't be afraid of a change! I will vote for an independent or third party candidate if I feel the Dem candidate doesn't represent what i want but just listen to your gut. Lots of luck!!

Vote to preserve our Constitution. If this is an election for the House or Senate, the only way to do this is to vote for the Democrat - even if you don't agree with many of their views.
If this was a normal election where the future of our democracy wasn't at stake, I would suggest reading up on what their views and positions are. Maybe some of this is in their campaign literature, and you might be able to get this information on their website. Or do an internet search on their names and see what you find.

I think that the best choice in the voting process is to vote for civil liberties, saving the constitution, ending the bloody war and murder of innocent people in Iraq and finally voting for someone who can put the economy back as it was in the Clintons’ era.

I recommend going to the debates or watching them on television. Many are also broadcasted over the radio now as well as internet.
Unfortunately "dirty" politics is all too common. It is an unfortunate part of politics. I always appreciate a candidate who runs on HIS issues instead of bashing his opponent.

Vote the issues that are closest to your moral value and who you think will lead properly.
If you don't like any of the candidates. Go to the polls anyway and just register without selecting a candidate.

Ignore television and radio ads and look at the candidates records and stands on the issues. It isnt that difficult to decide who to vote for if you look at the issues that matter to you.
