If American society is truly in a downward spiral, can we blame Roe v. Wade as the catalyst? why or why not? OR, alternatively, is it the mere ease of information communication and gathering that is causing and exposing our turmoil. LASTLY, is there really no turmoil in our society, but rather opportunity? My newborn thanks you for your input, because his father has no idea what to tell him.

What is the father suppose to say to a newborn that its going to understand? America in a turmoil? I just don't get Democrats. What's wrong with the United States? Unemployment is less than 5%. The DOW just hit its all time high. I think someone needs to re-evaluate their life.

you're making it appear like the selection became a quite hassle-free one. It wasn't. a woman has the desirable to privateness, so for that and a few different motives, the superb courtroom overruled states' regulations against abortion interior the 1st trimester. What you probably did not point out is that the SC weighed the privateness count against the states' valid pastimes in regulating the prepare. They ruled that interior the 1st trimester, there is little danger to the mummy's wellbeing and so the girl has the desirable to an abortion if she chooses. interior the 2d trimester, the hazards to the girl boost, and because between the valid pastimes of the states became to guard the wellbeing of the girl, it could make abortion unlawful. interior the third trimester, there's a great danger to the girl, plus the viability of the fetus will become yet another of those valid pastimes. this is why maximum if not all states make overdue-term abortions unlawful. (by using how, viability DOES replace right into a determining element - examine the SC case your self) On a edge be conscious, your question and edits do not probably element to the credibility of your question. You declare to have an interest interior the final subject count, yet save speaking approximately while human beings start up, viability, and scientific thought time. give up hiding at the back of words and admit which you wrote the question just to yell against abortion.

There are too many factors to name for the cause of America's turmoil- there is not just one factor that created the problem. I do not think that abortion really factors into the problem- unless you let it. Right now I think America's problem is small minded people who nit pick at the minor problems and who do not want to fix the major problems. Like low wages and high cost of living, below par education and teachers, the federal budget, war, and poverty. Yes, there is turmoil and opportunity always has been-always will be because things balance out in the long run. Communication adds to the turmoil and can solve the problems by bringing them to our attention and showing our concern as a nation.

Actually, Roe v Wade is responsible for the calming of America. The crime rates began to drop 16-17 years after, just as the underpriveleged children that would have been born, if it hadn't been for reasonably priced and legal abortions, would have been hitting the streets, looking for something to do and whatever variety of thrills come with all that.

A little harsh, but it's the reality, and sometimes reality is harsh.

Life is better than it's ever been.
More people are fed and clothed worldwide today than ever before.

The internet is providing an individual's voice to the world, hopefully someday the people will have a true say with what happens in the world.

People are living to much older ages.

Human rights are, indeed, improving no matter how many individual events you can point at.

And machines are doing the labor!

Our biggest problem is how much are we hurting ourselves with global warming and trying to police the world.

No, it has little to do with it. A runaway welfare system which allows generation after generation to live off others, participate in massive drug dealings, and crime of all sorts has more to do with it. Eliminating truly low paying jobs by labor unions has a lot to do with keeping poor, poor. They often don't have the wherewithal to get better education and several in a family cannot work to support a family group (as in most nations), therefore they have NO work at all, and fall into the welfare mind-set, leading to leisure time, unsavory companions, and developing yet another generation of leeches, which should have been assimilated into the mainstream of American life long ago.

THINK of this: if MacDonald's, et al, were allowed to employ young people at half wages, but were required to increase the number of employees, by 20 %; Theorectically they would save money, employee young people, train them in a work ethic and hopefully keep them employed through college. This is just one example. Same with working in the fields. Why should any healthy group of people be sitting on street corners, stuffing themselves in front of the TV for GENERATION after GENERATION, And not contributing anything to the society. ( and if you personally haven't contributed your share to our society, don't take credit for others' achievements just because they happen to be of your race or religion!!!!)

** for those who don't understand, et al mean others of that group, not only fast food, but people delivering throwaways to houses, newspaper delivery, boxboys and girls to carry groceries to the car, and receive a tip, etcetera. The list goes on and on. Our culture would be richer, young people would be helping. families.

You should read Freakonomics. It actually provides evidence that Roe vs. Wade is a significant reason why crime declined ever since the 90's.
